Gone to the Gold Coast with Vostok VR
Background
With so many destinations for holiday makers to choose from, Tourism Queensland (TEQ) and AirAsia X wanted to create a novel and accessible marketing experience for potential travelers of the Gold Coast. The duo turned to Vostok VR Virtual Reality to promote the airline and destination through 360-degree videos that would linger in viewer’s minds.
Innovation
The Singapore-based virtual reality production team shot footage in AirAsia aircraft and around popular Gold Coast destinations. Three separate videos were created to simulate actual travel for different target demographics. The end product included a romantic, a family and an adventure virtual reality movie connected to a giveaway from AirAsia.
Results
The footage gained hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube and Facebook and are used by TEQ in Asia at exhibit booths and events.
