Take a journey on first Tamil volumetric drama in Asia with holograms

Due to COVID many art events & performances were cancelled. For that reason, award–winning AGAM studio has approached Vostok VR to create Augmented Reality Hologram performance of their main actor Mr. Re. Sommasundaram while playing key part of the Duryodhanan drama. The experience mixes computer generated Augmented Reality (to immerse viewers into the time of the drama) with AR hologram recorded in Singapore. 

Vostok VR went over and beyond, thinking outside the box and created a Virtual Reality version to the amazing short performance of Mr. Re. Sommasundaram. Using the same content from Augmented reality, we put together a unique experience in VR.  

This project, is a stepping stone, to extending the performance arts platform. In cooperation with AGAM Theater Lab, it is promised to be Singapore’s first ever Augmented & Virtual reality Tamil – English theater production. 

The final delivery consists of 2 things: 

  • Augmented Reality, “Duryodhanan”. You can download it from Google Play Store & the App Store. 

  • Virtual Reality, that is used during their event launch on February 20th.

Successful project, with huge media presence.

This project attracted a huge media presence during the launch on February 20th , with the Minister of Culture of Singapore opening up the curtains towards the future of Performance Art. The event was also published on many social media platforms and news channels: 

The collaboration between AGAM Studio and Vostok VR, we were able to bring in the new meaning to performance art, and the fun ways it can be promoted and viewed, to reach out to the younger generation that are losing touch with this classical art of Performance.
